Company Policy Regarding Privacy of Personal Information of Consumers
and Customers
GENERAL
This policy applies to all directors, officers and employees of
Land Title Guarantee Company and its affiliates and sets forth a
requirement to comply with the privacy requirements of the Gramm-Leach-Bliley
Act ("GLBA") and the complementary and similar statutes
enacted by the States and their insurance departments.
The GLBA is federal law/which applies to all financial activities
including the services provided by title insurance companies and
their agents. Most states have complemented GLBA by enacting state
statutes or promulgating regulations. Company personnel are reminded
that state statutes, regulations, orders or interpretations, which
provide grater privacy protection than GLBA, are effective and not
superseded by GLBA.
The purpose of this policy is to protect the privacy of individual
consumers by restricting the disclosure of their nonpublic personal
information by the Company and its affiliates and to forbid all
information sharing with nonaffiliated third parties except where
required or otherwise authorized by law.
POLICY
It is the policy of the Company to respect the privacy of its customers
and to protect the security and confidentiality of their nonpublic
personal information. Company personnel may not, disclose to a nonaffiliated,
or affiliated third party any nonpublic personal information unless
required or otherwise authorized by law.
